Our Volunteers Make All The Difference

Since 2006 we've shopped for thousands of pounds of groceries, read mail, newspapers and bible to our visually impaired friends, gone to lunch, high tea, and concerts with our care recipients, picked up supplies, delivered dinner, mowed grass, flipped matteresses, planted flowers, played cards, scrabble, taught someone to email their grandchild, changed lightbulbs, walked dogs, shopped for size 4 shoes, re-wrote phone books, cleaned out closets, garages and basements, listened to old stories hundreds of times, AND made lasting friendships along the way.

Volunteering your time is Simple

Oftentimes, the assistance does not require special skills or certifications - it just takes an able and willing volunteer, a couple of hours and a willingness to help.

Our volunteers have provided over 5,650 hours of assistance!  We've helped over 100 care recipients maintian their independence while performing these small services, One Good Deed at a time.  You can too.

One Good Deed is an Atlanta based grassroots non-profit organization that utilizes volunteers of all ages to assist and improve the quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities. We provide assistance to seniors and other persons with physical or long-term health needs so that they are able to maintain their independence, remain in their homes longer, and avoid costly institutional care.

We can Help!
